Rebeca R. Haller
Rebecca has more than 25 years of experience counseling insurers on complex insurance issues and in representing insurers in high-severity coverage disputes across the country. She has assisted insurers in matters involving General Liability, Professional Liability, and Specialty policies, risk-pooling trust agreements, and self-insured programs, and reinsurance recoveries, among others. Becky has drafted policy forms and endorsements for Specialty and P&C insurers and risk pooling and self-insured trust agreements.
Representative Matters
Representative matters on which Becky has been lead counsel or had a leadership role include insurance claims arising from:
- Deepwater Horizon Gulf oil spill
- Quebec train derailment
- Alleged defective construction in residential homes in various states, including California, Nevada, Montana, Illinois, Arizona, and Texas
- Lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies for seeking damages for injuries allegedly arising out of misrepresentation and deceptive marketing practices
- Lawsuits against different managed care companies by health care providers and subscribers of healthcare plans alleging misrepresentation, conspiracy and RICO violations, among other claims
- Alleged environmental contamination claims arising out of handling of poultry waste
- Alleged environmental contamination claims arising out of waste sites in numerous locations including, New Jersey, Washington, Illinois, and Michigan
- Lawsuits against various Catholic dioceses arising from alleged sexual molestation of minors by priests
